Agility is a fabulous way to build a bond between you and your dog in a fun and exciting way. Agility training involves teaching the dog to perform a series of obstacles following handler's directions. We accomplish this through positive reinforcement techniques using both food and toy rewards. No aggression towards dogs will be tolerated.
Club foundation intakes are done throughout the year. Dogs that already have some agility training can be assessed to go into higher classes. Training at home is crucial to build on skills to progress through agility and instructors are available to answer any questions and assist in your progress. ADCV members can also utilise the club library which enables them access to various training DVDs and written literature. Agility won't happen overnight but it will happen.
Training is on Wednesday nights under lights from February through to November with a 4 week mid-year break. Handlers are expected to assist with equipment set up/pack up.
